Outbox 2021 Junior

In summer 2021, our youngest Stemettes joined together daily to meet STEM role models, do STEM activities, and be inspired alongside their peers.

for ages 7 -11 years old.

 

Daily Schedule
9:00-10:00 BST- Morning Role Model SessionWe’ll be joined by a STEMazing role model, hear from them and then complete a STEM activity based on their career and expertise.
14:45-15:15 BST- (Optional) Tuesday and Thursday Downtime SessionOn Tuesday and Thursday each week, join a session with all other Outbox participants to get involved in a social activity from cooking to calligraphy.
15:30-16:30 BST- Instagram LiveJoin us each day over on Instagram for a live Q&A with STEMazing role models.
15:45-17:00 BST- Final Day ShowcaseOn Friday each week, a chance to show the other Outbox attendees and STEM volunteers what you’ve created and learnt throughout the sprint.

My daughter took part in Outbox connect in the summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. She was initially quite reluctant but I persuaded her to give it a go and she got so much out of it she’s now considering a career in STEM, probably tech/coding – result! I’d just like to say a huge thank you for all you do, especially exposing girls to female role models – so important I feel!
