Spend a day with Stemettes learning to become a great young STEM leader, supported by Stemillions & OtotheB - all for free
-
A chance to meet and learn from other young women in STEM from across the country, gain some leadership training and also to influence the next academic year of a Stemette life for others. We’ll organise your transport & accommodation (for those based outside of London) - there will also be the opportunity to join virtually. Of course, in true Stemette fashion, there will be free food and lots of fun.
Next Stemillions Leadership Academy: February Half Term
What you'll learn
Applications are now closed for the Autumn SLA.
The next Leadership Academy will be in the February Half Term.
The Spring SLA will be announced soon.
Those unable to travel (e.g. based outside of the country or very remotely) will be able to join remotely via Google Hangout/Zoom or Skype. We'll send joining instructions for each day and will ensure that you get a full experience, although we can't promise free food! You'll need a good internet connection in order to have a good experience.
Stemillions clubs are run in schools, local communities and in homeschool groups by young women. This course is for anyone who already runs a club or is planning to run a club in the coming term or school year.
University/college students are also able to run clubs for younger years, up to the age of 21.
The target age for the clubs is 11 - 18 years old.
This is a draft of the schedule for the day. It runs from 10am until 4pm. There will also be regular breaks and (where possible) a tour of the host company's offices.
- 10 am: Registration, Breakfast & Icebreakers.
- 11am - Session A
- 11.55am - Session B
- 12.40 - 1.15pm - Lunch & tour
- 1.15pm - Session C
- 2.05pm - Session D
- 3pm - Session E
- 3.45pm - Close & Certificates
- 4pm - Home time
(The schedule will vary slightly across SLA's)
You won't need to bring much. We can supply laptops, pen and paper for you to use on the day and will provide refreshments. If you have any items you'd like to bring along to show what you've created in your club that's fine too.
This programme is supported by Accenture, Salesforce & Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
