Stemettes teamed up with BAE Systems on the 11th October to run a STEM Goals session with 45 girls. The girls learned HTML and used Glitch to make a website about cybersecurity. Spotlight on women in STEM.
Our attendees stated their favourite part of the event was ‘designing the web page because it was so fun’ and the ‘coding challenge’.
- Attendees rated the event an 8.5 out of 10.
- 86% of attendees shared that they would like to come again.
- 95% of attendees stated their perception of STEM improved.
- 100% of attendees indicated their awareness of STEM careers improved.
One of the attendees explained their favourite part was the panel, sharing “I found the panel and stuff inspiring and it’s motivated me to do more”. Another attendee loved ‘learning about all of the opportunities we have in STEM’ which we are happy to hear!
A big thank you to BAE Systems and our panellists for helping us trailblaze more girls into #STEM careers. Congratulations to our three winning teams who won Amazon Echo Dots!
