Birmingham welcomed us for our second stop of the #MonsterConfidence tour 2018. On November 6th, 219 girls headed to Millennium Point, ready to be inspired. GCHQ, Meggitt, Bombardier, Hitachi and the OR Society partnered with us to put on a great event for the girls of Birmingham. #MonsterConfidence came back with a bang! We kicked off the 2018 Monster Confidence tour in London at Here East on Tuesday, October 16th and wow where do we begin? Around 450 girls and young women came along to our largest event of the year. Wow, 2018, what a year! This year marked our 5th anniversary and we went BIG to celebrate. From Derry to Morpeth, from Glasgow to Guernsey, we went all over the UK to inspire girls and show them the opportunities within STEM. On September 22nd, Glasgow hosted us for a day of tech and music at AlGirlRhythm. Held in the O2 Academy, young women met people from across the music industry, technology industry, engineering and also MusicTech, with the help of our friends Go Think Big. At Stemettes we love running school trips, especially when we get to take pupils out to visit real STEM environments. On Wednesday 11th July Stemettes travelled to Maidenhead where Blackberry hosted a ‘Meet the Stemettes’ panel.
