We're pooling our body of resources, opportunities and event listings into the Stemettes Zine. It's a place for us to share quality advice, a range of role models and handy signposts to STEM activities for our audience of girls, parents, teachers, guardians and wider society. The Stemettes Zine will be widely shared and used by thousands (and eventually millions) of people for lasting change in the STEM world.
How it works
Every fortnight, we release an issue comprising 6 pieces of content. Each issue contains a mix of role model profiles, career advice, resource lists and cool STEM things to learn about. All content remains up after the fortnight, and is available via the sections in the main menu. We'll share all content across our newsletter, social channels, and at Stemettes events. Nothing is longer than 700 words.
Outside of issues, we'll add free (and sometimes cheap) events that we think look good from around the country. Organising the events by region will make signup easy for our young people.
Everything in the Stemettes Zine will be shared in The Stemette Society. It's our closed social network of young women interested in STEM. They'll be able to discuss and comment there, in a safe & moderated space.
The Zine will target girls aged 13-21 years old, their parents, teachers and guardians. Across our channels we currently reach:
