3D printing builds a three-dimensional object from a computer-aided design (CAD) model.
Tinkercad is a free, easy-to-use app for 3D design, electronics, and coding. You can imagine, design and make anything with Tinkercad.
If you are a beginner at 3D design, Tinkercad has helpful projects and guides on how to get started with the tool. Once you’ve got the hang of the tool, you can move on to create your own wild designs.
Tinkercad uses a simple constructive solid geometry method of constructing 3D models. Each design is made up of basic shapes that are either “solid” or “hole”. Combining solids and holes together allows new shapes to be created which in turn can also be assigned the property of solid or hole.
Meet Lucy Beard
Imagine a pair of shoes that do not require you to “break them in”. A pair of shoes that do not give you blisters or bruises. Shoes that are perfectly tailored to your body. Meet Lucy Beard, founder and CEO of “Feetz”, who took the traditional methods of shoemaking and took a different, more modern angle look on it and amalgamated it with 3D printing. Meet Lucy here
