BITESIZE BRIEF:
This Apprenticeship will teach you maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within a business. You will also learn to run calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct, recording of cash and data entry. This role will require you to have strong numerical skills and a good attention to detail skills. Working in a fast-paced environment and working to deadlines. You will also possess strong communication skills.

Each week Apprentices will be allocated time away from their day-to-day roles to work on their Apprenticeship studies. You will spend approximately 80% of your working week learning from skilled members of the team whilst supporting learning on the job. |

Accountancy Professional Apprentices can work across a number of tech and non-tech teams in Amazon working with teams where they help deliver big or small finance and accounting related projects successfully.
You will learn to provide strategic business advice to business partners, support the financial statement process or driving business projects, a career as an Accountancy or taxation professional can be diverse and challenging; it’s not just about putting numbers into a spreadsheet. Accountancy or taxation professionals use technical knowledge, skills and experience to lead organisations and people to make responsible and sustainable financial decisions. They are required to act in the public interest and must therefore maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and competency; upholding ethical behaviour and integrity at all times.
In addition to growing their technical knowledge and skills, Apprentices will have opportunity to develop key and complementary soft skills required within a business environment for example effective communication and teamwork, managing stakeholder relationships, consultancy within a technology context and presentation skills. This blend of technical and interpersonal skills provides a balanced learner journey.
The delivery of the academic program is facilitated by the training provider using online learning and resources, classroom sessions and 1:1 coaching. Apprentices will complete a series of modules related to specific topics and undertake discovery, practical and application activities to learn, embed and practice their learning. Each Apprentice develops a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their capability and knowledge as well as this, they will undertake a work-based project where they further apply their learning from the modules studied.
You will achieve the L7 Apprenticeship standard- Accountancy/ Taxation Professional Apprenticeship standard and certification from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
On completion, Apprentices can go on to higher roles in the Finance teams with Amazon or anywhere in the industry.
