Education
Diksha earned her Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Jabalpur in 2015. She furthered her studies by completing a PhD in Computer Science at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2021 alongside her professors. Her research during this period focused on designing efficient hardware for computer vision and image processing applications.
Career
After completing her PhD, Diksha joined imec, a research centre in Leuven, Belgium, as a full-time researcher. Her work at imec involves optimizing energy consumption in devices like phones and computers, making them more sustainable. One of her notable achievements includes improving the efficiency of multicore processors by 17%. She also applied game theory to enhance drone flight paths, leading to more energy-efficient routes.
In recognition of her contributions, Diksha was featured in Forbes’ “30 Under 30 Europe” list in 2023, under the Science and Healthcare category. She was also selected among the top 200 researchers in computer science and mathematics to attend the 8th Heidelberg Laureate Forum in 2021.
