Please note: This event is part of Women in Tech Week , and is aimed at those already in the STEAM Industry.
Women are still the missing variable in research – in health trials, in protective equipment, in sport, and, as it turns out, in the data that shapes UK tech policy itself. This Women in Tech Week, join us as we speak to researchers and innovators from across our Stemettes ecosystem to explore where that gap shows up in their own fields, what it costs when nobody’s looking for it, and what changes when someone finally does.
Midway through the conversation, hear the headline findings of We Are Tech Women’s new Policy Briefing in partnership with British Computer Society, including updated statistics on women in the IT field. It’s a live example of the panel’s whole premise: women are missing from the research because they’re not involved in the teams conducting the research.
This is what resolve looks like: researchers who go looking for the gap, and a policy agenda built to close it. Join us to see what’s been missing, and discover how your influence can help fund the researchers and innovators doing the looking.

Please note this is a virtual event which will be hosted via Zoom.
