Hi, my name is Dinara and I am a channel professional with 15+ years of experience in the IT industry. I love travelling (when possible) and have lived in 4 different countries: Russia, the Netherlands, France and Denmark. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking for my family and friends.
How did you get to where you are today?
After school, I graduated from the University of Toulouse with a major in International Management and I started my IT career in the Netherlands as a salesperson at Cisco Systems. Then, I moved to Channel Operations working on GTM strategies designing and supporting the best-in-class lucrative channel programmes and the channel communities for companies such as Symantec, Adobe Systems and Canon.
What is your current role?
I joined Lookout (the leader in delivering integrated endpoint-to-cloud security) as Head of Global Channel Operations earlier this year. Cybersecurity is such a hot topic in the world of IT.
What do you like about your role?
Working with different cultures in a global role, always being true to myself, and having high standards and ethics at work are what make me happy every day. I live and breathe Channel. Lookout is 100% Channel focused and growing business together with our partners and bringing the best partner experience interacting with our brand is my ultimate goal.
What does your day-to-day look like?
Because of time zone differences, I start my day with a cup of coffee working with people from Australia and Singapore followed by Europe and finishing my day with the West coast of Northern America. Partner operations are the foundation of Channel success. Partners Operations provide the program, processes and systems orchestration needed to unleash the full potential of Lookout ecosystems.
Every day is fun at work as I collaborate with various time zones and subgroups such as Legal, Marketing, Finance, Sales Enablement and Channel Sales. This means my work can be very creative (such as when I’m contributing towards the partner newsletters creation) or very analytical (when I need to dig into the channel data).
Digital transformation is part of my remit too. I need to ensure that all the digital touchpoints are smooth and efficient for our Channel Community.
What do you find rewarding about your role?
I love attending the Partner Summits as this is a great opportunity for me to meet people face-to-face and hear their voices.
