Who is Stephanie?
Stephanie Nneoma wears so many different hats. Not only is she a gaming entrepreneur, but she is also the CEO and founder of NNESAGA (a gaming, sports, and entertainment agency), and the CEO and co-founder of ION (a Marketing agency). Stephanie’s passion for gaming leads her to create content, speak publicly, and create events to break down the barriers that marginalised people face in the gaming industry.

How did Stephanie get to where she is today?
Since the age of 4, Stephanie has loved gaming. In an interview with ‘Ear to the Ground,’ she said that gaming is something that she ‘breathes, drinks, and eats’! In every clip of Stephanie, her passion for gaming is really clear. When Stephanie was younger, she thought that gaming was just a hobby. At her young age, it was more about escapism.
Then, when Stephanie got older and understood that gaming was a career she could pursue, she found it difficult to break into the field due to its lack of diversity. Out of this, NNESAGA was born!
In an interview with Spindle, Stephanie said that the future of gaming: “looks like me, you, and the many people reading this interview. Gaming is for all. Gaming should be safe and create opportunities for everyone to enjoy”.

What advice would Stephanie give?
“Remember why you first stepped into this and keep that as your core thought process throughout your journey. The best advice I would give to someone or anyone is always: IMPACT OVER NUMBERS” – Huffington Post.
“There have been times where I wanted to quit, where speaking up as a darker skin ebony woman who doesn’t fit the typical ‘gaming’ stereotype felt exhausting, but I’m a big believer in legacy. We’re doing this for all the other Black girls, I’m doing this for my little sister, not for ego, and so that in the future, we’re not stuck in the same cycle of ‘this is what games are about and this is who they’re for” – Cosmopolitan.
