On July 6th and 7th, Stemettes partnered with CDW for the first time. We hosted a Hackathon over the weekend; 52 girls (and a few boys) attended the event. Watch this video to see what we accomplished over the weekend:
On the day, the attendees had the option to be a part of 1 of 3 groups based on their coding ability; AppShed, AppInventor and Cloud9. They were tasked to create an app based on the theme of well-being. We had a wide range of wonderful ideas, with apps focusing on mental health, keeping active and more.
Lovely Sahlah, 5 and Nusaybah, 7 have created their own app to the theme of wellbeing, focusing theirs on keeping healthy, active and keeping a positive mind. So clever! @CDW_UK @stemettes #cdwstemettes #cdw_uk #girlsinstem #stemgirls #stemeducation #stemlearning #coding pic.twitter.com/ziplpgV0R3
