Stemettes teamed up with Lookout to deliver a virtual hackathon on 16 October. The theme was cybersecurity, following Ada Lovelace Day which took place on 12 October. The event was open to young women and non-binary people aged 12 to 21 and had 24 attendees.
Participants were challenged in their groups to design a product or business solution that tackled an issue relating to cybersecurity. At the end of the day, they presented their work to a group of judges from Lookout, who were so impressed with all of their ideas.

Congratulations to the winning team, and thank you so much to everyone who took part or volunteered.
Thank you to @Lookout for partnering with us at the hackathon today. The Stemettes came up with some fantastic concepts with their peers to identify a cybersecurity issue and design a product or business solution for it.#WomeninSTEM#GirlsinSTEM#LookoutStemettes pic.twitter.com/3FHn5zN89Z
