On 30th May 2022, participants from the Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix (MBGP) Student to Stemette programme and Stemettes Certification Academy programme were invited to visit the MBGP F1 headquarters in Brackley.
From these programmes, 21 women and non-binary people aged 16-25 visited MGBP. The visit comprised of presentations, networking sessions, a tour of the site and a Q&A session with members of the MBGP team.
What did attendees think?
Attendees rated their experience 9.2 out of 10.
The things they most enjoyed about the visit were the factory tour, getting an insight into the team, and meeting inspirational women in the field.
It was exciting for some of the STS programme participants to be able to meet their mentors in person after working with them virtually across the programme.
There was nothing they least enjoyed about the visit, except that they couldn’t stay longer!

It has enthused my passion for motorsport engineering and further enforced my desire to work within Formula One and Mercedes while giving me confidence this is attainable for someone like me.
