On the 26th of November, the Department for Transport and Stemettes held an online panel discussion with women in aviation to increase awareness of this STEM career path.
Seven amazing aviation role models joined in the discussion from industry, entrepreneurship and academia. 2670 young women and non-binary people joined across YouTube, Twitter or Facebook.

Those who attended rated the panel 9.1 out of 10.
- 100% are now more aware of STEM-related careers
- 90% now see STEM in a better light
- 88% have learned something new about STEM
- 88% now feel more confident in their STEM abilities
- 82% now feel more connected to peers and role models in STEM
