In the first week of April 2022, Stemettes partnered with Moonpig to offer a hybrid certification academy. It was open to young people and non-binary people aged 15 to 25. Across the week, ten young people took part and achieved their industry-recognised Agile qualification.
Two days of the academy were spent on the ICAgile Fundamentals Qualification with QA. The other half of the academy was spent learning more about Moonpig and taking part in career clinics and workshops.
What did participants think?
Participants rated the programme 8.2 out of 10. They rated their improvement across key impact metrics, with 100% feeling their awareness of STEM careers and network in STEM fields improved.
There was a 42% increase in their confidence in their STEM abilities over the programme.
Participant’s favourite parts of the week were working in teams and collaborating with each other on Agile tasks. An increase in their social skills and improvement in their mental well-being were unexpected benefits.
