A virtual, four-day Stemettes Certification Academy ran in the last week of October for young women and non-binary people aged 15 to 25. Throughout the week eight attendees met role models from Standard Chartered in lectures and speed networking sessions. They worked towards achieving their industry-recognised Agile Fundamentals Qualification with QA.
The QA @Stemettes Agile Academy has come to an end with a virtual graduation ceremony. We had a few words of encouragement from QA’s CMO James Frost, Stemettes COO Yasmin Lodhi & Agile trainer Mark Eaton. After attending the programme, participants felt they had an increase in all five of our impact metrics relating to STEM: perception, awareness, network, confidence, and knowledge.
The largest increase came in confidence in their STEM ability and their network in STEM fields, with a 28% and 27% increase respectively.
Congratulations to all participants for gaining their ICAgile certification, and thank you to the volunteers and role models who supported the programme.
