In August 2020 Stemettes and Deutsche Bank launched the Student-to-Stemettes Mentoring programme, aiming to support 70 students through virtual mentorship. Alongside the mentorship, a series of events were hosted to develop employability skills, entrepreneurial skills, and confidence.
Team Stemette matched 70 pairs, including Sherpas from Deutsche Bank, for the 8-month programme. The pairs met virtually every fortnight, with mentors offering mentees support, advice and guidance in exploring their future in STEM. The programme concluded in March 2021, with mentors and mentees exploring subjects such as goals, CVs, interviewing, networking and applications.
