Stemettes Midlands Hack @ Millennium Point

This October, Millennium Point and Stemettes invite you to a STEMtastic hybrid hackathon with a theme of science to mark Biology Week!

Stemettes Hack Midlands @ Millennium Point is a hybrid two-day event that will tap into your creativity and equip you with the skills to imagine a better future.

You’ll work in teams with your peers to create a STEAM idea where you can come up with an idea for a gadget or a tool to mark Biology Week!

Throughout the weekend, you’ll be able to interact with STEM role models and learn about health and technology through their knowledge and expertise. The role models will be there to inspire your approach to the ideas you will develop during the hack.

We will kick off the weekend together and then work in smaller groups on some STEMtastic business and product ideas. We will take a break for lunch and finish the day off with a special Stemettes showcase on Sunday 9 October, during which you will present your ideas to a panel of judges – we will be giving away some exciting prizes to the winning groups and goodie bags to all participants!

Women and non-binary people aged 12-21.

Anyone under the age of 16 attending in-person will need to be accompanied by a parent or a guardian to attend this event.

Saturday 8 October 2022 – Sunday 9 October 2022

10:00 – 17:00 BST.

The in-person location will be announced soon. However, if you are joining us online, you will be able to join the event via Microsoft Teams.
