What?

Our Associates programme for over 15s, comprising of skill and career-building sessions in the evening, hosted by mentors from across STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.)

Each session takes place on the virtual networking platform Remo and lasts for one hour.

This session will explore the role model’s journey into Engineering and what steps and challenges they encountered on their journey.

These are the types of questions our speaker will be answering:

  • What did you want to be when you were in primary school?
  • When did you first realise you wanted to go into STEM?
  • What do you enjoy most about what you do?
  • Who are your role models/ who do you look up to?
  • What is the most exciting thing you’ve done/learnt about so far?
  • What is the best bit about your job?
  • What barriers have you faced to get into STEM?
  • Do you ever doubt yourself? How do you stop doubting yourself?
  • What advice would you give to your younger self when you were in primary school?/ What advice would you give to someone who wants to do what you do now?
  • Do you ever feel discriminated against?
  • If you had to change one thing about what you do now, what would it be and why?
