Stemettes Engineering and Science Hack @ Nestlé

virtual

What?

Stemettes Engineering Hack @ Nestlé is an online event that will tap into your creativity and equip you with the skills to imagine a more sustainable future by designing or building a product that uses energy and resources sustainably.

You’ll work in teams with your peers to design/create a product or business solution to create a sustainable impact within the food and beverage industry.

Some ideas to consider:

  • What will a sustainable food/beverage market look like in the next few years and the future?
  • Together with your peers, can you engineer an idea for an app that demonstrates how natural resources are used or how current packaging can be recycled?
  • Can you think of improvements to current production processes to make them more sustainable?
  • Are you able to present an idea that encourages people to become more mindful about engineering the world to become more sustainable for all?

You’ll be able to interact with industry role models and learn about STEM through their knowledge and expertise. The role models will be there to inspire your approach to the ideas you will develop during the hack.

We will kick off the day together with an introduction and a demo of Tinkercad to create 3D modelling designs, then work in smaller groups on some STEMtastic business and product ideas. We will take a break for lunch and finish the day off with a special Stemettes showcase during which you will present your ideas to a panel of judges – we will be giving away some exciting prizes to the winning groups!

Grab your free ticket and start getting your snacks and creativity ready for days full of STEMtastic energy!
