BAE Systems STEM Goals

Teachers – your students can join us for a STEM goals session all about engineering and aerospace on Thursday 23rd March 2023 (10:00 – 16:00 GMT).

 

What?

Register now to bring your students to a one-day, STEM and careers-themed event with Stemettes. Your students will have the opportunity to network with industry role models from the BAE Systems team and learn more about STEM through their knowledge and expertise.

They will also work on a fun group project that will help them to tap into their creativity, build their communication and presentation skills and learn more about a possible future in STEM! We’ll be giving away some exciting prizes to the winning groups!

 

Who?

Young women and non-binary students aged 11-16 based in Rochester and Medway.

 

When?

Wednesday 23rd March 2023 (9:00 – 16:00 GMT).

10:00-10:10 – Introduction and welcome
10:00-10:10 – Welcome and Keynote Speech
10:10-11:00 – Icebreakers and Tour
11:00:11:15 – Brief and introduction to project tools
11:15-12:35 – Project work in groups
12:35-13:45 – Showcase of projects
13:45-13:50 – Prizes and photos
13:50-14:35 – Lunch
14:35-15:15 – Speed networking with volunteers
15:55-16:00 – Feedback and event close
