360 Intern

About the 360 Intern Role

We offer a 360 Stemettes Summer Internship. You will be working within a fast-paced environment with a team always looking for the fun and most efficient way to provide STEAM experiences. Stemettes is made up of different hubs and you’ll gain knowledge and skill sets from the Impact hub, Cohorts hub, Content hub and Events hub. We are a flexible hybrid working team that has the option to work from our central London office. We are committed to intersectionality and inclusivity so welcome candidates of all backgrounds and genders.

 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

 

Impact Hub
Support collation of data
Support Canva design of reports
Write impact copy to support the data
Conduct beneficiary interviews to gain qualitative data
Reach out to Stemettes alumnae for updates on their post-Stemettes experiences
Cohorts Hub
Support online briefing events to inform and welcome new beneficiaries & Volunteers
Support online mentoring events
Moderate in-person school events
Attend and share ideas in Cohort hub meetings to support the successful coordination of cohort interventions
Complete tasks on school outreach research and development
Develop engaging STEAM activities for our Stemillions programme and research the resources needed
Support the development of our Work Experience programme candidates
Complete check-in interviews with our cohort beneficiaries and keep an issues log
Design Canva cohort documentation
Content Hub
Ideation for upcoming content on our Stemettes Zine that links our online content to upcoming interventions
Attend physical Stemettes events and capture footage to share across channels
Support the writing of the Stemettes Zine by writing short online articles about a given theme
Writing up case studies/Stemettes success stories using guidance document
Ideation for video content to be used across TikTok/Instagram/Facebook and Twitter
Support the hub with researching and writing draft posts on #STEM facts
Research the latest #STEM news and draft related posts
Support Social Stemette with any design work required
Events Hub
Moderating online Stemettes events
Attend in-person public events and support the running and coordination of the event
Support event logistics and planning
Attend and share ideas in Events hub meetings to support the successful coordination
Support events beneficiary and volunteer onboarding
Create event programme briefing documentation

We’re looking for someone with the following desirable qualities:

  • Passionate about STEAM education

You will report to a Stemettes Manager and as an intern will not directly manage other staff members. We will pay a fixed rate per week plus expenses incurred for successful candidates.  You will have the option to work mostly from home or from our central London office, but you will be required to join in-person events and attend monthly in-person hub days. Internship Dates are flexible to your academic year and availability – please indicate these on the application form.

 

Alongside your internship, you will receive a mentor for 4 months from our STS programme starting in July. This virtual mentor will support you with career guidance and will help you get started on your next steps.
Please note: as Stemettes is taking part in a 4-day working week trial, you will only be online Monday to Thursday and have Fridays off in-line with the rest of the team.
