About Stemettes

Here at Stemettes, we are on a mission to engage, inform and connect the next generation of women and non-binary people into Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) by showcasing a diversity of people working in STEAM.

About the Marketing Intern Role

We are looking for an intern to join us on our Marketing and Comms team for the summer. You will be working within a fast-paced team to support various areas of content outputs.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Research and share social media trends
Join us at in-person Stemettes events and capture phone footage to share across our channels
Look at social media analytics for each Stemettes platform to assess how posts are performing
Research and share social media trends and video ideas with the team
Gather the latest online STEM news and draft related posts
Support with any design work required at Stemettes using online design platform Canva
Write up Stemettes success stories
Generate ideas and short Stemettes Zine (online magazine) articles with guidance from the team

You will report to a Stemettes Manager and as an intern will not directly manage other staff members. We will pay a fixed rate per week plus expenses incurred for successful candidates.  You will have the option to work mostly from home or from our central London office, but you will be required to join in-person events and attend monthly in-person hub days.

Please note: as Stemettes is taking part in a 4-day working week trial, you will only be online Monday to Thursday and have Fridays off in-line with the rest of the team.

Internship Dates are flexible to your academic year and availability – please indicate these on the application form.
