Here at Stemettes, we are on a mission to engage, inform and connect the next generation of women and non-binary people into Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) by showcasing a diversity of people working in STEAM.


About the Marketing Intern Role

We are looking for an intern to join us on our Marketing and Comms team for the summer. You will be working within a fast-paced team to support  in various areas of content outputs. The team is currently made up of 5 team members working both remotely and from the office in central London.


Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:


Content Writing & Curation
Ideation for upcoming content on our Stemettes Zine that links our online content to upcoming interventions
Supporting the writing of the Stemettes Zine by writing short online articles about a given theme
Editing articles written by partners and guest authors to a publication standard
Writing up case studies/Stemettes success stories using guidance document
Social Media
Ideation for video content to be used across TikTok/Instagram/Facebook and Twitter
Supporting the team with researching and writing draft posts on #STEM facts
Researching latest #STEM news and drafting related posts
Organising video testimonials with a few participants soon after an event
Researching new #STEM influencers to follow online
Supporting Social Stemette with any design work required
Website & SEO
Support with updating the SEO on old articles on the Stemettes Zine
Editing, captioning and uploading event replay videos to our Stemettes Zine
Supporting with the development and publication of our event replay summaries (Takeaways) for primary school, secondary school and 16+ audiences
Event Support
Attending physical Stemettes events and capturing footage to share across channels

We’re looking for someone with the following desirable qualities:


  • Excellent spelling and grammar; Strong written communication skills
  • Good Attention to detail
  • Proactive; Uses their initiative

You will report to a Stemettes Manager and as an intern will not directly manage other staff members. We will pay a fixed rate per week plus expenses incurred for successful candidates.  You will have the option to work mostly from home or from our central London office, but you will be required to join in person for at least one team day each month.
