Mentoring Programme Co-ordinator

About the Mentoring Stemette role

This impactful and rewarding position will see you ensure the planning and coordination of our mentoring programme and its associated activities – for 15-25-year-old young women and non-binary people across the UK and their assigned mentors from across the technical field. The role is a 2-year full-time contract with the possibility of an extended period of years depending on successful delivery.  This role would suit someone who has worked on the delivery of a similar mentoring or coaching programme before, is able to connect well with youth to troubleshoot and be a trusted point of contact.  They will also be able to host and moderate mentoring events with the right energy.

 

You’d be working within a fully hybrid organisation located across the UK including freelancers and admins who ensure the smooth running of Stemette Futures interventions and outreach work. You will have no direct reports, but there will be room for you to grow and manage in the future.

Responsibilities include:
Planning and coordinating across cohorts of our mentoring programme - encompassing participant interviews, mentor/mentee matching events, mentee skills sessions, graduation events and associated monitoring & evaluation processes.
Managing programme participants: application process, briefing & onboarding communication with and their experience on the programme.
Ensuring child protection & safeguarding procedures are followed across the mentoring programme.
Ensuring mentor volunteers are briefed and supported to mentor our young people very well in collaboration with our Partnership manager.
Organising and delivering hybrid mentoring programme events with the support of other team members.
Troubleshooting across the months of the mentoring programme to ensure an impactful experience for all mentees and mentors.
Co-ordinating with our marketing team to ensure they can promote the programme and share stories & case studies from the programme.
Contributing to our overall vision & mission by supporting facilitation of Stemettes interventions.

You’ll report directly to our Programmes Lead. This is a full-time position, based in the UK (no remote applicants, please), fixed contract for 2 years with a possible renewal thereafter. Pay range is 27500-30000GBP. Will be reduced by 8% during the probation period. Contract starts July/August 2023 and is Hybrid with in-person attendance at least 3 days each month. After 3 months you’ll be able to opt into our Four Day Work pilot at full pay.
