Meet Pooja Godhania

Engineering

She is currently working on a Highways England Project in Newcastle. She’s chartered with the CIOB with the title of Construction Manager and is working towards her Chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).

“I would have spent longer on mastering the basics of the course and I would have applied for summer placements within the industry.”

Pooja has worked on a range of Civil and Building projects throughout the UK and Ireland. Some of her favourite projects have involved rivers and projects that have contained habitats for protected species such as Hazel Dormice, Slow worms and Badgers.

“Make the most of each and every opportunity presented to you. Take advantage of a placement year to get a realistic view of what the industry you want to go into is actually like.”
